The Daily Show with Trevor Noah

So I know there are a lot of adverse opinions of the Daily Show and John Stewart, and I've read up on the guy. Regardless, I still enjoyed the original show purely for the humor and insight. Controlled opposition, corporate shill, all of the above both opinion and fact- Stewart is a funny guy and a good writer. Now-Trevor Noah on the other hand-Honestly I think he's a funny guy as well, but DAMN does the show just feel like totally blatant propaganda. Does anybody else feel this way? Just an opening monologue of 100% unadulterated where's the beef propaganda. Then a news update where Noah stumbles on his words and laughs at his own jokes for an awkwardly long time-followed by a really hokey-really not very funny-bit about racism. The show just feels so over the top to me for some reason now. From a comedic standpoint the skits just sorta blow and they seem like they're trying so so hard to let you know how you're supposed to think about the world through yelling and making stupid faces. Then, the interview which I never watch because I'm not buying what they're selling.
