Making my own in antique bottles?

I'm thinking about making seltzer in original glass bottles. I believe I can charge the bottle with CO2 through the nozzle, using something called a "process tube adapter" which is normally used for refrigeration.

Has anybody tried refilling any antique bottles? How did it go?

Are explosions a significant risk?

Any thoughts?

I could do a normal soda fountain thing with new parts, but somehow the old bottles seem really cool.
