Org mode TAB key binding broken using terminal mode (-nw)

My TAB key in Org mode works fine when I open emacs as an X window, but for some reason it gets set to c-indent-line-or-region when I force emacs to run in a terminal with the -nw flag. I'm definitely in Org mode as my mode line tells me, and M-x org-mode doesn't fix it. Thanks for any help!
