Help! I bought the wrong microphone.
Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this sort of question, but I thought you may be able to help me anyway. To preface: I know absolutely nothing about audio hardware.
I bought an Audio-Technica AT2020 for streaming. What I didn't realise is, that I should've bought an Audio-Technica AT2020USB+.
So the problem I face is that the mic has an input for a regular cable (but didn't come with a regular cable) not a USB.
What I'm asking is, if I bought a "USB Male to 3 Pin XLR Female Microphone MIC Studio Audio Link Cable" would the mic then be compatible with my windows PC? Because I feel like it would need some kind of software to work properly.
OR do I scrap this mic, and buy the AT2020USB+?
Thanks for the help!
