It currently takes 33.5 hours to unlock one 6300 IP Champion. (1072 hours for the 32 6300IP Champions. Surely it shouldn't be that long. [Math inside]
So I've been playing for about 10 hours today and still am not really close to getting the champ I wanted, so I decided to see how much longer it would really take me to unlock the champion I've wanted for the last two weeks.
This math is based off of my last twenty games, in which I won 11, and lost 9. None of this is in ranked, this is all dynamic queue, 2 games with a party, 18 solo:
Over that 20 games I earned an average of 93.35 IP per game.
The twenty games took me 613 minutes which is about 30.6 minutes per game.
6300 IP / 93.35 per game = 67 Games
67 games at 30 minutes a piece = 2010 minutes = 33.5 hours = 6300 IP.
That's just ridiculous. Also, there's currently 32 6300 IP champions, which would equal 1072 hours of gameplay to currently just unlocked those 32 champions which are 6300, not including the one's who's IP is less than that. This game might be F2P, and certainly not P2W, but man they make it really hard on the person who has a job and responsibilities to not have to pay to enjoy the game.
TLDR; This game takes a LONG time to unlock anything right now, and I think IP per game should be raised.

Hope you enjoyed the read.
Edit: There's two First Win Of The Day's within my math.
