What career options are available for biomedical PhDs in industry?
I know this is AskAcademia but unfortunately there is no subreddit for AskIndustry. Im guessing many of you will have a lot of information on the subject having gone through the process.
I am interested in learning more and pursuing a doctoral degree in my field (physiology). I enjoy doing research and expanding my knowledge. However, I am not interested in working in academia. The poor job prospects are frightening to me.
I was hoping some of you could shine some light on what careers are available in industry for a person possessing a PhD in the biomedical science area. How does the work differ from academia? Work/life balance? What about salary differences between the two routes?
Thanks for your help
