Embracing the challenge of being the threat in EDH
From what I've picked up on over the past year since I've started playing EDH, being targeted is something people seem to worry about. I used to have that feeling, but now I use it to my advantage. It first goes into my deckbuilding, I feel much more inclined to include fewer pet cards and include higher impact ones. Instead of feeling bad about someone countering a spell I wanted to resolve, or killing a piece I need, I have more in the deck, and I definitely know who I'm aiming them at now. It gives me this feeling of "Well if I'm going to be a target, I might as well be a good target". There's somewhat of a sick type of fun to be had trying to present your case of not being the biggest threat, especially when people believe you. I was curious if anyone else had any experiences similar to mine.
