People who switched to low sens (below 1.7 @ 400) What benefits and negatives did you notice?
After some hard thought out experimentation, I've realised that I prefer the feedback of arm centric aim. I initially lowered from 2.2 @ 400, as I had a tendency to be jittery and almost too snappy, to 1.9 @ 400, where I started to get a taste of arm aim. I found that I was naturally suited to arm flicking, and the smoothness that it provided, and found that the jitter issue was gone, and my flick consistency improved, but there was still a fair amount of transition into wrist aim, and during arm swipes it could feel a bit fast. I was curious to see how a lower sens felt, and initially stepped all the way back to 1.4 @ 400. I loved the feeling, but I didn't feel practical regarding site clearing, or close quarter control. That said, I could have spent more time getting used to it.
I'm now trying 1.55 @ 400, where I can consistently manage a 180 degree turn, and get more practicality, but I'm still getting used to it. ( I was intially concerned about a sens lower than 1.7, but players like Niko, swag and dupreeh give me hope, especially since dupreeh is able to entry excellently with basically 1.6 sens.
It's either this, or something around 1.75 from what I am experiencing.
So guys, what was your experience in the transition? Did you gradually get more stamina for turning over time? How is your close quarters tracking in comparison? (was my best ability, along with peeking at 2.2, right now it's a bit rough.)
