I think I hurt my peroneal tendon
Hi, I am a moderate runner and three weeks ago I did my first short run after taking most of the winter off due to bad weather and no indoor alternatives. Didn't notice any trouble on the run - no ankle roll, nothing out of the ordinary. A few days later I felt as if I had a big blister on the outside of my ankle - it felt hot and stingy. Painful but definitely not anything that would prevent me from walking around. Now the pain's kind of following me around -- nothing too extreme -- I suspect it's more of a 'strain' than an actual tear of anything.
Strangest thing I've noticed is that it hurts when I stretch my hamstrings -- I had no idea that stretch got to the outer ankle. Aside from ice and maybe an ace bandage, anything I can do? Would stretching HELP or should I hold off on that? Haven't run since.
I'm a 32 white male, 5'8" 160 lbs. No relevant medication. Any input would be great!
