Am I burdening my friend too much with my issues?

As I may have mentioned in previous posts, I have very few friends, and the ones that I do have are long-distance (the closest lives a few states/6 hours away... I see her about once a year). As such I am worried that I'm burdening them too much with my complaints.

I have one friend in particular with whom I have a bit of a history that is too long to go into here, but I am positive that I am way too dependent on her (is it possible to be codependent when it's pretty one-sided?).

Ugh. I just feel gross because I tried to get her support a few days ago. I had to schedule a phone call with my dad (we have a bit of a confusing relationship & talking with him can be really stressful). I told her I was anxious about it, but she never responded and I am still somewhat angry with her because she knows how it makes me feel. Would it be a bad idea to tell her that I am upset about the lack of support on that issue? I am thinking about sending her a text now that I've slept on it but I can't tell if it is a good idea or not.

It occurs to me that maybe I complain too much about the small things, and so when the big things come around, I've worn out it out? But how do you know what are the big things?

As usual I wrote too much and I am not sure what I'm looking for here. How do you deal with burdening friends? I am the type that I feel I have to talk about it, but I don't know how. I don't know what are the important things to talk about. Due to money issues I haven't gone back to therapy, but I am considering a 12-step support group for my food issues. As I understand it, however, they don't usually like talk about other/mental health issues, since it's mainly for support on the 12-step problem (like alcoholism for AA, drugs for NA, etc).

Thanks in advance for reading this, and any advice or thoughts you have on this topic. I really like this sub for how supportive people can be in relating to this stuff.
