Oasis Project in WHs, But What About Lowsec?
I've always loved lowsec. From its fun engagement rules to its proximity to nullsec for content farming (both PvE and PvP) I have always enjoyed it as a sort of true wild-west where NPC null and WH kind of felt off touch...either by being camped or by the inconsistencies of WH space (RL work sometimes requires a week or two away from a computer every other month or so).
Would there be an interest in a freeport project in lowsec, preferably in a low-station count near nullsec area, which could be played as a port of safe harbor with similar policies as PFR, with maybe a no-fire zone or something on the undock depending on how Citadel mechanics flesh out. Creating a life in an area previously devoid of life. Maybe throw some RP or lore in there, like a pirate's Tortuga or some kind of refuge. I also want to avoid FW space, or at least not being smack dab in the middle of it. I've lived there and it's quite the silly place, and fun, but not what I really see this becoming.
Prospective areas are limited, which Oijanen being the one on a light inspection as a good prospective location. Also seems to tie into something I read on here before about a group looking to take down the big boys in this part of space as well.
Anyone have any interest in such a project? Any recommendations or thoughts? I can easily eat the cost of the Citadel and its infrastructure and initial setup, I just like the idea of having such a thing as existing. A EVE-version of Nassau.
