[Build Help] I want to take my current full size tower, and gut it into a micro-ATX shell.
###Build Help/Ready:
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
Gaming, light video editing, general use.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)
Currently running at 1920x1200, but I'd like to upgrade at some point in the future. 60+ FPS, ultra, all that good stuff.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?
Like 500ish for the parts I need, I have some already which I'll go into more.
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
US.
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
Okay so basically currently I have the HAF 932 full tower case, but it's too big and I need to upgrade the MOBO so I want to take out the pieces that are new and rebuild the PC as a micro-ATX one. My issue is that it's a lot to take in and I'm having some issues figuring out what the stuff I currently have will fit in.
Parts being transferred:
- 250g Samsung Solid State
- 1TB HDD Western Caviar
- Corsair GS800 PSU
- Geforce GTX 750TI
- Noctua Nf-P12 CPU Cooler
- Intel Core i7 @3.4ghz (LG1150)
Provide any additional details you wish below.
The case that I am looking at currently is the Fractal Design Node 804, and I would love to add the Cryorig H7 CPU cooler if possible. But the biggest thing I'm having issues finding is a solid MOBO for the micro-ATX and a modular PSU if the one that I have doesn't work for this. Thanks ahead of time and if there's anything else that I missed I'd be happy to answer any questions.
****Current MOBO is the EVGA X58 SLI3, and while there is nothing wrong with it it's about 5 years of constant use now, should I replace it? I'm like 99% sure it's not compatible with the micro-ATX case but I guess thats just more of a question of is it worth replacing?
