New motherboards causing boot loops
UPDATE 3: Loading into BIOS but keeps reading CPU Fan error. Both fans are running.
UPDATE 2: Breadboarded and posts to BIOS WITH ONLY one stick of RAM. confused since I had been running two in my previous mobo with zero issues.
UPDATE: removed the mPCIE Wi-Fi card and the system now stays on. No output but a QCODE is being displayed saying "memory not installed" I have matching RAM in all 4 channels. Will try booting with one.
Hey brothers and sisters, recently purchased a second hand z77. This is the second one I have bought. Before that I was using a p8h61 which leaves much to be desired feature wise.
I bought and installed an Asrock z77 aaaaaaand bootloop. Couldn't figure it out. Went back to my old board and everything ran fine. So I decided fuck it and got an Asus Maximus gene. Board was in great shape, no bent pins or visible damage anywhere. I boot up and no post. Fans will spin up for about 3 seconds and it shuts down. However, even when shut down my keyboard, mouse, and mobo are all still powered and doin their RGB thing. So, what the hell.
Edit: part list PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Aaaaaand now the fans won't even spin up
