HD 439 Bass Boost Reaction!

To start off, holy shit!

I've had these Sennheiser HD439's for about a month as my entry into the world of audiophile-type headphones. Obviously as a cheaper option, I didn't expect the best results. I'm into a clean, crisp, flat response that shows how the music was created and meant to be heard. That said, I do love me a little bass. After a few days I learned about the tape bass mod for Senn's like the 439's I got. I tried it out 10 minutes ago and I did not nearly expect this type of outcome!

Not much has changed on the quality side of things, and the bass is still a crispy type of punchy... it's just weird to explain.

So if you are into bass but still love a flat, clean sound I would definitely recommend looking into the bass mod as it only takes like 5 minutes and the outcome sounds great! Just wanted to share my experience with such a simple, free upgrade!

Hopefully I'll land a better job soon and be able to afford some better gear! Until then, this is my life!!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I only cut the tape from one hole. It's plenty, don't worry.
