Having issues with nightbots countdown?

Hi r/twitch o/ I'm currently having an issue, I'm a moderator in a friends stream, and recently I started adding some commands to their chat, my problem is this; I enter

" !commands edit !starting The stream will be starting in roughly $(countdown 7:00:00 AM EST)"

as I'm looking to create a countdown which would reset every 24 hours, counting down to when the stream starts according to the stream schedule. My problem is, after creating this command, all nightbot returns is "The stream will be starting in roughly 0 seconds" Any advice on how to fix this please?
