[DIPLOMACY] The Uneasy Peace

DIPLOMACY

My counterpart in Morocco, I'm writing this message to you with a very heavy heart,

Libya Superior has achieved peace. After half a decade of war in that, however something bothers us. Something that cannot be ignored forever. Algeria and Morocco and their dispute over Western Sahara. The conflict will erupt again, and as many could see from the outside, our recent re-militarization is due to that fear.

Morocco has been more helpful to Libya Superior than Algeria was. Algeria has been fairly uncooperative, so to this we'd like to propose several potential options as to how to rectify the situation without bringing Algeria (who will not comprise) to the table.

  • Direct military intervention either into Algeria or Western Sahara

  • Direct military takedown of Algeria and/or forced surrender of all claims and disputes over Western Sahara to Morocco.

  • Annexation of Western Sahara and the threat of military intervention

  • Rigged referendum

Libya doesn't wish to get into another war, however if this is what is needed for long-term regional peace in the Maghreb and North African world so be it. We want long-term stability, not little bursts of peace. It may be a shame that this would have to happen, but I hope you can understand.

~ President Sharif Assaf, Of Libya Superior
