Tornado Warning Cancelled but Watch Extended

Tornado Warning Cancelled, Watch Still in Effect The tornado warning is over for Old Dominion University, but the National Weather Service has extended a tornado watch for all ODU locations until 11 p.m.

A watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes.

If the watch changes to a warning, take cover immediately. Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are in a mobile home or outdoors, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
