Update on spyderco authenticity... No experience with karahawks n I'm almost certain it's fake.
Biggest give away was a old beat up box with no documentation whatsoever, and the clip holes on the one side aren't tapped .. Just figured I'd post n see what y'all think? But even as someone with zero spyderco experience I'm fairly certain this is fake ...
Also another giveaway is I don't think it's skeletonized.... Skeletonized referes to the inside of the handle having holes drilled in it right? This one is solid.
Is it worth it to hang onto this blade though? It is solid, with no play when locked which is a big deal for me... I hate sloppy feeling knives. It also feels pretty sharp, and deploys pretty well. If I hang onto it I'll tap the other side clip holes ....
My biggest thing is if the blade steel is going to be sub par ? Or if it's going to maybe break down soon .... Or if overall I'll get better quality getting the real deal?
Basically, do you think that counterfeit aside it's going to be worth the $130 I paid? Or is $130 overpaying for a junk counterfeit?
Thanks for the advice n input!!
