Raise your hands everyone and cry out in joy as we get Burst Soul Breaks in global (with Cloud) and Dress Records (with Cloud)! We’re going to be able to play ~~pretty pretty princess cloud~~ dress up with characters! Cloud gets his AC look as he also gets the first BSB, his Fusion Sword! Also Nanaki gets a SSB finally, so we can put that dual level break in use with it!

Also, I want to point out we’re going to get more character relics this time around and less shared SBs, which is good or bad depending on which you have. Also, all SBs (as in SB, not SSBs or BSBs) will also get 2x chances to be pulled (2% over the 1%). The format will work like this regarding future banners:

0/1 BSB
1/2 SSB
3 Unique SB
1 Shared SB
1 SB-less

So prep your wallets! SSBs are a norm now! With that, let’s get it kicking!

You know what was going here before you opened this topic, didn’t you? After all, we’re playing Final Fantasy CLOUD KEEPER.
So Cloud’s 1st Fusion Sword (Banner 1) is the best relic and it’s not just because it’s the only shiny brand new BSB relic that Cloud gets first. It’s a sword that can split in two and has the new highest attack stat to date at 123. It’s the first of the Burst Soul Breaks to come. With this, Cloud does 8-random hits and grants himself a trance/burst mode, which grants him self-haste as well as changes his Attack and Defense commands to 2 new abilities.
In Burst Mode, you’ll get Whirl Slash and Quad Cut! Whirl Slash replaces the Attack command and allows you to hit two times to all enemies (and this will be the command Cloud uses if he autos while burst mode) and Quad Cut is 4 hits on 1 enemy. Both commands also have a 80% critical rate. Both of these have a chance to break the cap with enough boosting and Cloud is a great all-rounder character. Also, Burst mode boosts 10% to SPD and 20% to all other stats and it stacks. So to recap: 123 ATK, 8-random hits + Burst Mode (Self-haste + 2 new commands; Whirl Slash (2 AoE NE hits) and Quad Cut (4 NE Hits to one enemy)) with the +20% to all stats (+10% to SPD) in burst mode. It’s going to be helpful to anyone and Cloud is going to make sure he doesn’t leave your party until more BSBs come out. Add to the +10 ATK Cloud gets… Yeah. Top tier relic.

We can’t have a Cloud without an Aerith. That’s right, Aerith’s Keepsake Ribbon (Banner 2) goes here. Unfortunately, Ramza’s Shout will outclass Aerith’s Planet Protector but it doesn’t invalidate Aerith’s PP. The Keepsake Ribbon has 28 MAG, 30 MND, 61 DEF, and 113 RES and is a ~~ribbon~~ hat. The SB Boosts the party’s ATK +50% and it has a minor resistance to silence. 3/4 of the relics on the banner are also physical so it suits this banner well. All in all, it’s still solid and holds up well and still will even when Ramza comes.

Zack’s Glove (Banner 1) goes here and it’s a fist with 122 ATK. It’s weird Zack gets a fist but the SB is solid as it’s 3 AoE NE hits and it’s a 100% chance to stun and it’s ranged. It’s a solid relic and there are a lot of people who can equip fists, even if Zack was know for his swords? Regardless, the SB holds it up well and a good amount of the VII cast and a few others outside can equip fists, which makes this a solid relic.

Good

Tifa’s Master Fist (Banner 2) is a fist with 122 ATK. Also, it’s her SSB and gives her a +10 ATK boost when she masters it. The SSB lets her attack one enemy 4 times with a +50% ATK boost to herself. It’s a really hand weapon and even if it overlaps with Shout or PP, it doesn’t affect her. The problem is if she uses her Burning Arrow SB, it’ll override it (2 AoE hits, ATK Boost to Party +35%). It’s a good fist and helps Tifa and if used as a RW, boosts your main melee hitter!

Cid’s Pole Axe (Banner 1) is a~~n axe~~ spear with 122 ATK. If you want Cid to have a useful SB, then here you are. Now, his SB does 4 hits on one enemy, but the thing is it also grants self-haste and self-buff to ATK and DEF (+35%, 611) which STACKS with other buffs. It’s also a ranged SB and has minor confuse proc on the spear, which makes this a REALLY SOLID spear. Albeit, Cid isn’t a fantastic character, he does have machinist and if used as a RW, this can help someone like Cloud with his BSB and stacked with Planet Protector making this a really useful SB. Overall, it’s pretty good.

Cloud’s Organics (Banner 2) goes here because, okay let’s be honest, it’s still a good sword. It’s a sword with 115 ATK and gives Cloud a +10 ATK boost if his SSB is mastered. The SSB does 3 ranged NE AOE hits and as much as it’s not as good as other SSBs, it’s still a solid, usable SSB and 3 AOE hits is always good in a SB. It’s still usable, it still does damage, it’s still good.

Sephiroth’s Coat is a light armor with 17 ATK and 107 ATK/RES. It’s a fine piece of armor and grants Sephiroth with the power ~~to steal Jenova and ruin the town of Nibelheim~~ of Enfire (turn basic attack into Fira Strike almost, boosts his fire damage for SBs and abilities, and resists fire attacks) and does 4 AOE Fire hits. It’s a really good light armor and fire is a common element we run into, making this a great coat!

The shared Precious Watch goes here as it’s a bracer with 21 ATK, 18 MAG/MD, 73 DEF, and 78 RES. The SB is an AOE medica (h35) and as always, useful to anyone.

Selective

Nanaki’s (or Red XIII) Magic Comb (Banner 1) is a ~~comb~~ hairpin with 113 ATK and 86 MAG and as his SSB relic, grants +10 ATK to Nanaki for learning his SSB. The SSB does 10 random hits and casts Shellaga. Also, it’s ranged and based on his ATK stat. As a support, it works as a counterpart to his LH and it’s pretty well. Nanaki can only equip this (or Tyro) but it’s a good damaging SB and with buffs, it can do some good damage. The only problem is it’s a hairpin so if you haven’t used Nanaki, it’s kind of useless. However, Nanaki DOES have Support 5, which makes him usable, and this SB is the second best if to rank them, LH only outclassing it. It’s a 50/50 here and I love Nanaki so but we need to be honest, this relic is only useful if you use Nanaki/Red XIII.

Tifa’s Platinum Fist (Banner 1) is obviously a fist and has 120 ATK. It’s not that it’s bad but it’s not as good as the Master Fist. The SB allows Tifa to boost the ATK of the party by 35% and as we have other relics that boosts ATK and even if it’s self ATK, it’s higher than the 35% ATK boost and could ruin the higher boosts, and Cid’s stack due to being ATK + DEF. It’s useful if you don’t have planet protector or master fist, but in all honesty, it’s weaker then the other two. It’s a fist too which has a decent amount of users but it’s not universal. It’s useful though in it’s own way if you don’t own the other relics.

Yuffie’s 4-Point Shuriken (Banner 2) is the weakest of the character relics in all honesty. It’s a thrown weapon with 106 ATK and 68 MAG. It’s very niche in its use and users for one and the SB is an AOE 3-hit Earth elemental with a slow proc (20%). In all honesty, I can’t say much good about it. However, it will make Yuffie and those like Rinoa and Hope be able to make decent use of their magic stat, but in all honesty, it’s not that good.

Okay

The Basilisk Claw is a dagger with 105 ATK and has minor petrify proc on it. It’s not entirely useless (Check, Seymour’s Guards for one) but it’s the weakest of them all especially since it has no SB.

Overall: NEW BANNER FORMATS! It’s pretty much a solid physical banner with about 2 stinkers, one being a unique relic, which sucks. However everything is still usable at least.

Should I Pull: Soft yes. VII is a universal type with events that pop up at least once a month and new users will surely benefit from the BSB with the countless early VII dungeons and just really, early into later dungeons. Cloud is a character with relics that will be outclassed but won’t be useless. Most of these relics will help set you up with the incoming power creep of physical team as mage meta gets wrecked by the fact enemies begin to have higher resistance and thus can’t deal damage as effective. However, don't chase the holy grail if you're pulling for just the BSB or Tifa SSB. There are multiple good relics and only a few non-returning/eh relics. If you're following ennlo's scream guide, there's a good reason if you're not pulling and if you're not running a physical team yet, then there's not much to benefit from here. However, I recommend that 1 11 pull wouldn't completely ruin you if you want to try it and I'd recommend it on Banner 1.*
Cloud’s not getting any new relics until the Sephiroth BSB Event, where he gets a Light Armor SB. Tifa doesn’t get any new relics in the future but her relics do return every event. Sephiroth gets a BSB relic in the late future (with less clothes). Aerith gets a SSB come SSSSBfest and Yuffie gets one come the Golden Saucer Date event (WHICH IS USEFUL) and Yuffie’s Wutai Headband returns in the near future on the Vincent/Zack banners. Zack gets an SSB in the near future during the Vincent event and his gloves return then too. Cid doesn’t get any new relics in the future but the Pole Axe does get a return in the future with the Vincent/Zack banners. Nanaki gets screwed over here and gets no new relics and no chance to see his relics in the future, minus the Support Abyss Banner (which throws all his relics in in a grab bag with Ramza. Barret, and other Support 5 characters.). This is the last time you’ll see both the Precious Watch and only time you’ll see the Basilisk Claw if you had any plans for those.

March 26 was when it dropped and I just am just happy to say we have great community together to help each other and get through all these ultimates and rng and just everything! I’m glad to be part of such a great community and I want to thank the mods (old and new) and the users such as Sandslice, fattybomchacha, Zurai001, and everyone else who posts guides, stats, etc. I also want to give a special shout out to Cptn_Marvelous, for all his should I pull threads when he was around and I hope things in life are improving for him.
