PSA: The Branch of Fate's Save Prompt Defaults to your Most Recent Save

So something I noticed while restarting at the branch of fate was that it automatically defaults to your most recent save file as for where the cursor is. I instantly overwrote my Conquest save and, while I had a backup from a few six chapters back, it's still kind of annoying. I always save in the third slot so as to not overwrite saves, and I still got fucked. I admit, it is slightly my fault for not paying more attention, but it still doesn't make sense for the save prompt after character creation to default to your most recent save file.

You pick where to save it and it is only slightly your fault?

Why would the cursor default to my most recent save when I'm starting a new game? I save in the third slot for a reason, it kind of defeats the purpose. It is my fault in the end, but the game is at fault as well for literally defaulting to your most recent slot for a new game.

So if it uses your most recent chapter 5 completed characters? Stats-wise or are the preset if you choose Branch of fate?

It uses the ones that you had in your most recent branch of fate.

So it pulls the stats/levels from my last branch of fate? Because I had like level 12 Corrin with a lot of 6+ stat level ups and I really liked that start.

It's supposed to be like a redo feature from what I understand, so it makes sense to me <_<

Feeling good that I just started over to re-watch the opening cutscenes again instead of choosing branch of fate.

It's also worth noting that it also defaults to your most recent difficulty and character death mode (casual/classic), from what I see you can't change any of those unless you start a completely new game.

My little sister wanted to try the game out for a bit so I let her play while I was away from home and later on when I finished Conquest and went to the branch of fate to try Hoshido it had me playing casual. Had to start from the beginning to get Classic which was a little annoying.
