New Rules and Expectations in the Community as of 2/29

RESPECT. Mods will not tolerate name calling, bashing, or any general rudeness. Lush is all over the world and we have Lushies from every walk of life. Discrimination and/or harassment will lead to a ban. We have a warning system in place. You will be given an official warning for breaking this or any rule, and after 3 warnings, you will be banned.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, and to share their experiences, good or bad. Make sure to phrase things in terms of your own experience, and do not generalize experiences to the whole of Lush (Say: "At my store we had a purple elephant named Susie" and not "Lush stores have purple elephants all named Susie.") Unless you are truly talking about Lush policy like dress code or product line. Like any company, everything isn't always going to be perfect. Both staff and customers sometimes have bad experiences and it is ok to share them here just like it is ok to share good experiences, as long as the generalization rule is followed.

The report button is there for a reason. We have a small enough subreddit that the mods can usually respond to reports within 24 hours, so if something is breaking one of our rules, report it. You can also PM the mods if you would like to add commentary to the situation. We cannot read every comment on every thread, so if you don't report it, it is completely possible that we don't see it.

Reviews/Self Promotion Going forward we are going to handle all self promotion type posts on an honor system. We will not limit the amount of reviews that one user has to a certain number or time, but we will expect to see that user is equally involved in discussions. If we see you only posting self promotional posts, with no further discussion included, there will be a warning issued. If then there is no change in activity, or we see a user continuing to only self promote, it may result in removal of posts and being banned from r/LushCosmetics.

For the past 2 months we have had a buy/sell/swap thread stickied. This will continue each month for the foreseeable future. Please use this thread and do not post your own. New threads will be removed.

Spoilers. This has been a difficult issue that has drawn criticism from both sides of the argument. Lush official training material is given to employees early and often ends up on the internet before the official announcement of products. In order to compromise, official Lush confidential training material is no longer allowed to be posted. If an unofficial source releases information but it isn't the actual pages Lush puts out, those can be shared. Any sharing of official Lush confidential info before it is allowed will result in a warning, and multiple warnings will result in a ban.
As always, please use the "message the mods" button with any questions, or comment below.
