The Crown of Jewels
Your almond hair
And sapphire eyes
Make my heart ache in pain,
Sitting in my chair
Wishing I was wise
Enough to tell you the same.
Your luscious look took my heart
And made it treble, made it start
To spark a fire, one with flames
That would blast me past these gloomy days
And so I sit on this maple throne
To which my thoughts are widely prone
To mental clouds of rotting bones,
And it makes me really want to know
If your hands are as warm as your hello.
But neither of those will I know,
And so my heart is cold as snow;
Unless, perhaps, you repeal
This slashing pain of no appeal
And finally start to reveal
That part of you that's so surreal.
Everyday, in pain, I wait
And pass the time by slapping paint
On a canvas stained with inherent hate.
I pour my soul into what I create
In hopes of making you see our fate
But alas, in pain, I wait
Hoping someday we meet by fate,
Until then I remain a fool,
Gazing at the Crown of Jewels
