Right! See my comment too where I got that this poem says little of his surroundings but for some reason paints a vivid picture. I might need to master this myself :D

Very nice, self-referential and self-critical. If I had to guess this was written late at night, but that's just an assumption of mine that the poem seems to be giving off.

I think that overall it has good phrasing and is rather vivid, and the theme is very nice too. Good job!

You havnt used many words to describe your surroundings but I have fairly in-depth picture of a corner of your room from your eyes. Thats what I enjoyed most enjoyed about this. 
I feel like I've been injected into a part of your life, like that smoky shit Dumbledore pulls out of his temple for harry potter.

Its also lighthearted.

**bitter basil I**

three tendrils of billowy basil in an owl pot  
drink slivers of light on my desk  
the blue feathered claybird has a laser gaze  

&amp;nbsp;

cleaves through me and my silly poetry  
*out with the antics   just trim the damn plant*
