Looks better than my first soldering job, nice work! I'll second u/foam_data's battery answer.
Cool yeah I bought those a long time ago after seeing coop put them in a demolisher without rewiring - that's what I bought them for until I saw foams battery vid thanks a lot for the feedback
I just installed swapped motors, a LiPo, and a mosfet for motor braking in 4 stryfes for commission, and your first attempt at soldering is WAY neater than my work after years of practice. Keep up the good work!
Thanks omega I can't wait to try motor replacements and Lipos but have to start small lol thanks for the feedback

IDK why people are downvoting this, it's some good first time wiring.
i appreciate that orlarpandnerf thanks for the feedback glad to know i am doing it correctly
Hello everyone was curious if you highly skilled modders wouldn't mind taking a quick second to take a look at my very first stryfe rewire. This is my first time ever using a soldering iron -- or trying to do an electrical mod! Is it Clean or is their something i could have improved at. Stock motors --- 18awg wire --- i have to go back and watch Brits battery video i have both trustfires and efest batteries with a trustfire charger since i had to put the project off for so long i dont remember which ones or how many to use ( fyi i do have dummy batteries also) which ever ones are really dangerous i bought way back before i saw his battery video lol Brit i would like to talk to you at some point i would like your advice on a motor replacement and lipo mod for my next stryfe but i wanted to crawl before i walk ! I would like to personally thank Foam Data Service or Brit Nerf he suggested all the wire and stuff for me to buy months ago i just got the time now to attempt this. ! I also followed his stryfe rewire tutorial on Youtube. The soldering may be a little ruff but it was honestly my first time ever using one ! It runs well from the test pushing one dart through like his video points out to do. Just curious what you really good modders think about my first attempt. Thanks in advance, I really want to get better at modding here in 2016 CJ NERF
2 IMR or 3 IMR, with appropriate dummy cells, dispose of the Trustfires safely somewhere, re use the charger for the IMR.
That looks super tidy, well done! I would be happy with that now, never mind a first attempt.
Awesome Brit --- Thanks for all your help with everything I really appreciate you taking the time to help me when I asked you a couple questions way back when ! So dump the trust fires and use the efest batteries cool.
So 3 imr's will be ok with 1 dummy one more question - if I start to see the power dropping obviously put the batteries back on the charger but I have to be careful about hold long they stay on the charger and how much they drain I think I read something about that right ?
Your charger should automatically stop when the cells are fully charged. If not then I would get a better one, the Nitecore D2 is really good. You should get 5-600 shots out of the efests when fully charged. I have never had a set run out in a day game.
The two things you want to avoid- leaving the cells in the blaster after a game or running them so flat the motors barely run and leaving them on a charger with no auto cut out. Both will kill the cells.
They don't catch fire, they just stop working and can damage the charger or potentially be damaged when you try to charge them again if you run them too flat.
gotcha thanks ill see how this charger works out and if i need i will get the other one you suggested thanks as always
