Do you remember that time, Sitting in your kitchen, As I taught you how to Long multiply and divide?

You respected my wisdom, Saying it's amazing how I pick things up So quickly, and am able to translate Those thoughts to a student on the page

Do you remember that time, When you first told me you loved me, And respected me as A person and a friend?

You told me you wanted to keep me safe, Saying you were glad I was in your arms, To ensure that nothing could go wrong, To ensure that I was in a good place.

Do you remember that time, You first inched closer to me on the sofa, And I accepted your advances, And accepted that I was falling?

I remember so clearly, The chaos and doubt, That had been instilled in me From romances before you.

Now let's remember the times We encouraged each other's growth, Embraced the moment, And let things happen on their natural course.

I remember so clearly, It's reinforced with each moment, That you prove your devotion

You prove to my own eyes and heart, You've been able to show me, My worth, value, and warmth.
