r/TheFence Song of the Day Database - TCBTS Day 3: Colors

Its been a few days since the last one, and Ive been cravin some more Song of the Day. so I hope u/Hecatonchair doesn't mind I took over (at least just for today, maybe I'll finish if he doesn't care!)

The Real: So here we have Colors, track 3 from Color Before the Sun. Now, Claudio is sad. Why? Probably all the sudden changes his life is taking. Lost the Big Beige. Moving to the city. Being away from his family because of his job. But he talks about coming to terms with it all. Learning to be ok with his new life. And when the world comes crashing down don't make a move, don't make a sound. Just watch it fall, watch it come down. Feel it as it goes, does it feel good to let go? (Take this all with a grain of salt, I'm not good at interpreting lyrics.)

The Part: I can't decide if I like this song a ton or if I don't care for it all that much. It feels very "un-Coheed" to me. But I really like the very beginning. The quiet riff, along with the bass drum is really neat. I also like the piano bit at the end.

Edit: I've rethank it and I'm changing my part about The Real up a bit.
