One of the best metal album in a decades

I just picked it up the other day. It's a bit more grounded than what I tend to listen to, but it's really, really good. Nice to hear some higher Tenors/Sopranos in metal too.

I feel like this album's one weakness is the narration, which I could really do without. Aside from that, though... it's fantastic.

I don't know if it could do without narration so much as it could do for some good narration. The spoken parts are by far the weakest part of this magnificent album.

Well, the woman's part was pretty good. Tommy (I'm pretty sure it was Tommy) simply didn't cut it though.

The woman was awful. Everything was awful. God I wish no one talked during this album, it would be perfect.

Eh, it kinda helps in understanding what's going on, but yeah it's a little out of place.

I can understand why they went with it, I just wish they had a second disc where it was versions without the narration.

Yeah, the narration is really the only weakness on the album. The female part is awful, and the male part is just bad. It's still an amazing album though.

Glad to see one of my faves pop up on this subreddit.

Also, couldn't agree more about the narration. It straight up sucks.

Love this album. Those drums however, sound a bit....fake is all i can say. If they sounded a bit more organic, this album would be better than The Great Escape

Didnt really notice an issue with the drums, but I thought The Great Escape was awful. Ok. Mediocre.

Really? I mean Move on Through and Long Way Home are definitely subpar, but that title track man... best 30 minutes I've ever listened to.

When they did Mercy Falls in it's entirety at ProgPower they left the narration out, as I recall. Great show.

Star Of David was my first Seventh Wonder song, but this was the song that really got me into them. Seventh Wonder is now my favorite band. Absolutely solid track!
