The Reddest Rose

She is the stem;

the Life giver

that carries the Flower who expresses His appreciation

with the vibrant outbursts of color that She breathes into.

Together they would weather all but the worst

but if rain should knock the Flower off of Her shoulders

time will see Her bud again,

and all He’ll have are His colors.
