Summer Winds

Summer winds; Take me away Blow far the clouds of doubt That fill my mind with pain Into the horizon, Leave no image to remain.

Relieve me from this torment The unrelenting storm Whose grasp won't leave me go And convince me that I'm null.

I yearn to feel acceptance in the air, A peace of mind, Content with time. No shadows cast upon myself, No clouds to block the warming light.

I'll let the breeze come sweep me down, To pick me up as gusts hit the ground. Up I'll soar and reach my peak, A never ending goal I seek.

Because Nothing's ever better than the last, These feelings haunt me, They condemn me with a mask. My words they fall But with no resolve, My mind it paces Round questions left unsolved. My heart it aches, As my thoughts dissolve.
