Couple thoughts
-
I bet NBC had to do alot of arm twisting to get both of NE's big games against NFC West opponents in Sea and Arz. Probably pissed CBS off. They were probably forced to take on some games they didnt really want to in exchange. I cant imagine them taking on some of these Oak vs Den games otherwise.
-
Alot of divisional games this year. Not sure I love it. WE already get that on Thurs and in general I can do without these Ind vs Hou type games. I get having to do Phil vs Dal or NYG vs Wash because they are huge markets but we are pushing things a little too far with Ind vs Hou or Den vs Oak.

Alot of the games that dont look that intriguing like Chi @ DAl or KC @ Pitt are early in the year so no chance of getting flexed out which is unfortunate.

There are some definite gems. They also had to probably do their share of arm twisting to get all the marque Sea games like Arz, NE and Car. So in turn they pissed off CBS like I mentioned above AND Fox.

Bit surprised they went with the SB rematch right off the bat to start the year. Not sure I like it, you know you are going to watch the first game no matter what. Theyd be better off saving that for an Oct 20th type night or something
NBC went aggressive I feel like and figured we might as well try and get as many games we know will be classics as we can even if it forces us to take on more mediocre games. We'll see if it pays off
