Why is the website/app/console app so awful?

On console, can barely ever connect to the NHL servers, and when I can everything I want to watch is Blacked out. The app on my phone tells me there's no more games this year AND I'm not able to even sign in, 150+ bucks what a waste... Also it's not updated for playoffs, and the website went to shit all of a sudden. It really seems like MLB, FIFA and NFL are miles ahead. I just want some better quality for my dollar
