How do I enable modding for fallout 4? *Modding Noob*

Like the title says, I am unsure how to enable modding in fallout 4. I remember something a while ago about changing ini files or something, but is that still necessary? Or is there official mod support now? If you know, please tell me, links or videos help a lot.
