Sanity Check for my process
I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 (gandolf)that I put a 128G ssd in. After installing the ssd I followed the steps for couton xfce install.
Crouton works, but I don't really like it, so I want to try Gallium, and I need to know the process.
Here's what I think I need to do:
- Remove crouton
- sudo edit-chroot -d chrootname
- Remove the read only sticker
- Flash Firmware (little fuzzy on this due to the multple firmwares)
- Install gallium with chrx
- Do some weird firmware change that makes the developer boot up screen suck less
Does this look about right? Any pitfalls or things I'm missing?
I'll be working on this tomorrow so I want to have a plan of action.
