Headache rack on Aluminum Body f150

I've started the wheels a turning to get a newish pickup. I'm either going to get a Chevy or Ford half ton. I am really liking the aluminum bodied F150s, but I am concerned that if I throw a headache rack with full length bed rails onto the alumium frame, it could damage them when I get onto the rougher roads that I travel. Has anyone had any experince with this? Has anyone had heavy tool boxes (not planning on one, but it might give me some idea as to how durable the bed is) on these on rough roads? I don't want to drop the 30k it takes to get into one of these only to tear it up with a selection in gear.
