Alien - outsider - all of the above?

Hi everyone. New here, been lurking for a week or so since discovering asexuality at large and this place in particular. I really appreciate the positive community and all the stories are really resonating with me. I'm so glad the internet exists!

So, thinking I might identify as asexual or gray ace at the moment. Long term long distance falling apart. New ones interested . . . It's complicated. At least having a term for it makes me feel less alone.

Just a semi fun question I've been wondering for a few days now -- One of my favorite genres has always been the "alien outsider " - Invader Zim, Third Rock from the Sun, etc. I just love them, the "studying the human race and tying to fit in" comedy . . . . Anyway. I wondered if that's just my own personality quirk or if it might be a common thing among asexual types. I think it's partly because I always feel like an alien ( when people start talking about crushes or relationship troubles etc etc.)

Just a bit of fun discussion to break myself in for some tougher questions.

Is there anything else that's common among asexuals? I can't say I've ever met another, or if I did, they were in deep cover. ;)
