Honey hurt her leg today.

Edit 4: Surgery took about 3 hours. It was the surgeon's first time so she wanted to be very careful. The many clinics and hospitals have veen so nice and accommodating, making this horrible thing better. Honey also had ear mites (we didnt get her from a great home) and we were about to bring her in to treat those when she broke her leg. So, doc just dumped the treatment on her head right after surgery. Long story short, she looks like shit haha. Echo is going to join us for Honey's post-op appt on Monday and get treated too.

Edit 3: the boyfriend just left with honey to get the leg amputated. The specialist said the break was too far down for healing without surgery. I had a hard time getting out of work so I can't be there. I'm very sad about that, but we really need the money now anyway. So I kissed my baby goodbye and hopefully I'll see her tonight. Thank you for all of your kind words.

Edit2: last night was a long night. We woke up this morning with a list of about 30 hospitals to call and beg to do surgery on the cheap. About 5 calls in I found a rabbit specialist who thinks we could fix it without surgery. Now were waiting for a call back from her after checking the records from last night.

Edit: Its broken. Waiting on xrays to see how bad. So we currently stand at $115 for the emergency room visit. $80 for pain meds. Now $235 for xrays. I dont know how we're going to afford this. I'm in my fourth year of college and the boyfriend is unemployed. My heart is breaking.

I haven't really posted here yet, just some comments here and there. But today was Honey's firat day outside ever. She either broke her femur or dislocated her hip. Either way, not great.

Im in the waiting room doing just that, waiting.

It feels especially bad because it was due to carelessness and inattentiveness of the boyfriend. I know it was an accident but I'm really struggling because I watched it happen and it was totally preventable. Im tring so hard to not resent him but i dont know what ill do if its the worst news. Im so mad. Mostly I'm just scared, though.
