I really need help

Okay so this is a hardware problem i think but i'm looking for a fix, can anyone help me? I just got a new monitor with an extra wide display (2560x1080) and i excitedly went to play BL2 first thing. I had to upgrade some graphic settings and what not, then i launched the game. Immediately i noticed that the HUD was off... Like super off... like in the middle of my screen and harming my field of vision.

So i go back to the settings because i know that normally this would be a fixable issue, but it turns out that the HUD was already at max width (x value), and i am now stuck playing with my HUD 3 inches away from the ends of my monitor and for a person like me it feels unplayable. I like to turn the lights off and put on sound proof headphones, the whole shebang, and this puts a kink in the system for me!

Does anyone out there know how to go into the code of BL2 to extend my HUD or even a program that will allow me to do it? Anything will help even if you might be wrong, just looking for solutions here please!
