Do any devs actually play this game?

I seriously don't understand the logic behind these latest updates. How could they break this game so badly? Do they understand how much time and effort people put into grinding toons? I have spent months getting where I am now and it is all down the toilet as nearly all of my 7 star heroes have been destroyed. I've played numerous apps that have slowly declined thanks to poor developmental decisions but this game has seen a rapid decent into being a total waste of time.
