Let's talk about color schemes

I am currently trying to piece together an AR15 before the election. I have a PSA completed lower already, and am waiting for PSA to have a nice sale on uppers. I figured I would build this firearm to be the same as my other firearms: black.

Is there any reason, other than fashion, for these dual color schemes I see? Is there any benefit to those schemes?
