[Fetish] Kink lovers; when and how did you start to develop your fetish/kink?

Hello all! Psychology student here. I'm curious to hear how those who enjoy like and fetish in (and out) of the bedroom developed their enjoyment. What were some of your earliest sexual feelings and thoughts? Did your fetish/kink develop over time or from one event?

I transformed from a relatively vanilla person to somebody who will enjoy some rope play, public fantasies, and more dominant sex from a longtime girlfriend I used to date.
