Best way to sync music onto Windows Phone

I'm pretty frustrated by this...the phone companion app doesn't offer any solution other than manually moving files, which wasn't able to pick up many of the artist and album information for my songs. I feel like this is way harder than it should be.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? How the hell do you sync music to windows phone? I don't want to stream via onedrive, I want the files on my phone.

And while I'm at it, does anyone have a suggest for a good music player/manager for win10? I'm not thrilled with groove music
