Requirements?

Hey guys, I'm 21 years old and my family is currently facing a dilemma. I had to drop out of high school because of medical complications that no longer exist and I'm currently in a school program to get my highschool GED equivalent with plans on going to an Xray tech school right after. My question is: Will I be able to pass the background check with no current Highschool Diploma? I have a clean driving record and been driving for around 2 years now. I recently bought a 2014 car from the dealership. My family got a one month notice to move out but we're dead low on money. Jobs are hard to come by when you don't have a diploma. My family tells me I should wait for my highschool equivalent to finish before trying to apply because if I get denied, I may have to wait before I can reapply to uber and or other services but my family doesn't have the luxury of time to wait for it
