So, about Yandere's "Fungeon"... [discussion]
So you may have noticed Yanderdev's recent- ahem tweet about how an interactive torture sequence might work. Just in case you haven't.
I thought now would be a good a time as any to talk about some of the thoughts I had about some of the possible nuances to hurting your peers and such:
- Skill: I think biology would be a good skill that would benefit Yandere's ability to break students, as it's already a requirement to pull off the kidnapping. After level 2, further study might be able to improve Yandere's ability to inflict pain. I also toyed with the idea of using language skill to write fake sick notes to the skill, but that was just a side thought.
- Time: I think it would be interesting if a kidnapped student would lose a little sanity each day as they're tied down in a dark, windowless room and their needs go untended. The level of realism here is open to adjustment, but I'd break soon or later if I was starved in a lonely room forced to sit in my own filth.
- Personalities: How a person handles such a stressful situation should depends on what they're like. Just for a few examples, a coward would break pretty fast and would beg for mercy, a social butterfly would probably suffer more from the isolation, a hero would try to stand firm against you, and an evil student? Well, who knows, they might even enjoy it.
- Coercion: Instead of simply hurting someone into psychological oblivion, I think there should be a few more long term uses. You might have to soften up a person first, but you might be able to extract some valuable information, make them rescind any nasty accusations of you "murdering" people, or even other things they might never do (say, letting you get a picture of their precious derriere). Be careful about letting them go though, they might have second thoughts about keeping their little trip to the basement quiet.
I also had some thoughts about using some "tools" to assist in your handiwork, but that might leave some visible marks which would be even more stuff to animate and what have you.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
