Recessional Song?

So I always imagined the recessional song after the ceremony being something upbeat and fun to start the party. The other night my FH and I were picking out songs together and he brought up Grow Old with you from the Wedding Singer, he was emotional, said it was us and it had to be the song. Typically he leaves the details to me, but he really is set on this! I suggested using the song at some other point in the day because its a very soft and sweet song but he wasn't buying it. Do you think it will work? Or do you think it will be kind of a strange selection for the recessional?
