Two issues with ubuntu when resuming from suspension.

After turning on my laptop and resuming from suspension this happens:

It freezes for about a minute on the lock screen (Mouse and keyboard don't work), after that minute passes I need to press esc to unfreeze it.

And I can't connect to wifi. I have to type

sudo restart network-manager

in the terminal after unlocking.

What could be happening?
