Unknown Pleasures Production Techniques

For one of my uni assignments I had to choose a producer and emulate their production techniques on a recording of my own. I chose Martin Hannett's work on Unknown Pleasures and I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on trying to recreate the production on the album or point me in the direction of anything that could help?
