Got a new job. Going to be the sacrificial lamb for science purposes.

I got an offer from a rival company in my field for a considerable pay raise and awesome job security. My Uber supplemental income is no longer needed, nor will I have time for it.

I've always read on here "Uber might deactivate you for low acceptance rates".

I intend to find out just how many times I can ignore pings before Uber deactivates my account. I may accept one out of every 15-20 request if I get a wild hair up my ass and free time just to keep Uber guessing. As I type that I know I'm full of shit, I'm not accepting any fucking rides for these horrible rates.

For reference purposes. I operate in San Diego County (mainly north county) I'm at a 4.89 rating with 1233 rated rides after over 2 years and zero issues as a "partner".

To all the Uber drivers out there I wish you guys/gals luck in the future with whatever endeavors you decide to take on.

I'll update this thread each night I do it with amount of ignored/accepted pings, any text/emails I receive from Uber until official deactivation.

EDIT 1- I drove from Oceanside to San Marcos along the 78 corridor for dinner this evening. About a 20 minute drive. I got 9 pings. It included 2 nice surges in Escondido for 3X and 2.7X. All of which I did not accept. This all happened from about 630-700 PST earlier today.

EDIT 2- I just did 3 quick ones earlier and got busy tonight. I also uploaded my trip history so you can see when my last ride was. Also had it on my homescreen so you can see the dates. http://m.imgur.com/a/7rk2i

TOTAL- 12 pings- 0 accepted- 0 warnings

I also will take screenshots starting tomorrow of each request. If I'm driving and it's unsafe I won't be able. I hope you can accept that. I genuinely want to see how far the envelope can be pushed.
