Just bought a used D600. Do you think the price is fair?

So I am going on a long trip, which includes a charity trip to remote villages in Nepal that were affected by the earthquake. I did not feel comfortable without a back up body to my 750, as there are no camera stores for hundreds of miles of where I am going. I spotted a D600 at the camera store for $699 + tax.

I asked if they could tell me the shutter count, and he said no, but I could return within 10 days. I said verbatim "I think if the shutter is under 50 or 60 thousand I'll keep it.

So I just got home. Shutter count? 54,197 hahah. It looks to be in great shape. I'm gonna run some tests. Just wondering if you guys think this is a decent deal?
