Ignorant Religious People Thread #9389743

I know this type of thread is generic af but I need to get it out my system. If you have any rants about ignorant religious people or even ignorant/douchebag atheists comment it, or link your thread and i'll read it.

I was on skype with my friend who previously claimed to be a deist (I wouldn't've made this joke or comment to a religious person) I should also mention that we're brothers of the r/PCMASTERRACE.

We were talking and somehow the conversation led to me talking about how I hated driving in the rain. I recalled to a few days ago when it was raining in the morning and said that I prayed to the mighty gaben and it stopped raining, which proved that gaben was the one true god. (The joke was that I was kinda acting like a religious person who says coincidence proves the existence of a deity, and of course my satire about gaben being god and all that)

Then this motherfucker replies with "Dude you're going to burn in hell for that" which i thought he was going along with the joke, then i seriously said "There is no hell, when you're dead you're de-" and like midway through my sentence he starts yelling LALALALALLALALA like an 8 year old who doesn't want to hear something.

Then he hangs up, messages me "I don't want to hear your bullshit." and blocks me.

Thing is, i've been friends with this guy for going on 4 years, and he's always getting upset at stupid shit. He's told me he's an agnostic, christian that doesn't go to church, and most recently he said he was a deist.

I can't rant about this to any of my friends because they're all theists and will tell me i'm a terrible human being no matter what.

tl;dr - Friend told me I was going to burn in hell for eternity because I made a joke about gaben.

I should also mention that gaben is the founder of steam. We all joke on r/pcmasterrace about him being lord gaben and thanking him for the mighty steam sales.
