They knew it was bull shit...

This trial exchange bothered me the most:

Buting: You never found any of Teresa Halbach's DNA on any kind of mattress or bedding, did you?
Culhane: I don't believe I examined any mattress or bedding.
Buting: OK. So none of that was even sent to you, right?
Culhane: Correct

If you believe there is any truth to BD confession, wouldn't you examine Avery's mattress and bedding for DNA and trace evidence? Wouldn't that be the first thing you would examine?

Why didn't they do it? Answer is simple: they knew BD's confession was bull shit.

Kratz, Gahn, Fox, Fassbender, Wiegert et. al. are not stupid people. They knew there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that TH was murdered in SA's trailer or garage. Yet they were willing to convict SA and BD on the basis of bull shit and be honored for doing so.

Who are these people? How did they teach their children about truth, honor and justice? Thank God MaM shined the light on these despicable characters.
